The Liverpool Santa Dash took place on Sunday and hundreds of people took to the streets of the city centre in red and blue Santa outfits for the annual 5km run. A team of eight runners took part to raise money for us and so far they have raised an amazing £2,500!

One family who took part in the dash have participated in this event for us for many years. Sheila, Henry Scott and family have raised thousands of pounds for Stick ‘n’ Step since they first took part over 12 years ago. Long-term supporters, the Booth family, also took part once more,  with Anthony and Victoria Booth from Great Sutton, whose 8 year old son Mason attends our conductive education classes, running with their nephew Jack, aged 9 from Bromborough. This was Jack’s first ever fundraiser for us and he raised over £250 on his own, which will be doubled thanks to this week’s Big Give Match Funding campaign.

Our annual Christmas party also took place on Sunday. Held at Thornton Hall Hotel, this was our biggest Christmas party yet, with over 200 people attending. The guests enjoyed party food and games, disco dancing and the children had the chance to meet Santa himself and receive a special gift each.

Netty Doyle, our Community Fundraiser, said,

Many of the children who attend our conductive education classes were able to take part in this fantastic festive occasion, along with their families. Everyone had a wonderful afternoon and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved who helped make the party such a success. All the Santas who took part in the Santa Dash really did themselves proud too and we could not be more grateful for their wonderful support.Dashing through the streets for Stick ‘n’ Step
