If you think you have what it takes to become Stick ‘n’ Step’s Strictly dance champion 2025 and you love the idea of taking part in a glitzy and glamorous black tie event, to help raise much-needed funds for our charity, please call Norma on 07711 133 284, or email fundraising@sticknstep.org. No dance experience is necessary!

Friends and supporters joined many of the families we support for a fabulous inclusive fun day at Cheshire View near Chester.

Over 500 people of all ages were welcomed at the Family Fun Day event, which was designed to bring together families affected by cerebral palsy and be accessible to everyone.

Along with traditional carnival games, there were face painters, stilt walkers, costume characters, bouncy castles, dance and choir performances and more. Refreshments included a mouthwatering array of homemade cakes and scones provided by one of our trustees, Alison James.

The Fun Day was sponsored by Fletchers Solicitors, a member of our legal panel. The popular tombola was organised and run by HSBC Bank and Barclays Bank, who also provided match funding. Cheshire Fire Brigade was on hand too, letting children climb on a fire engine and try on helmets too!

Our Corporate Fundraiser, Jo Fowler, said,

For many families who have a family member with disabilities, enjoying a simple day out can be practically impossible. All too often there are no suitable changing facilities, or there might be a wheelchair ramp provided, but inadequate space to turn a wheelchair. Our intention with our Family Fun Day was to make it a truly inclusive event that our families could experience together and to help build our cerebral palsy community further. Cheshire View was a fantastic venue and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to make the day such a success.
