Staff, children and their families at cerebral palsy charity Stick ‘n’ Step have once more been bowled over by the generosity of local people in Wallasey. The town’s Cherry Tree Shopping Centre selected Stick ‘n’ Step as its chosen charity this Christmas and has been running a Give a Gift campaign, asking kind-hearted shoppers to donate a present for children who attend sessions at the charity’s centres.

Sacks and sacks of wonderful presents were donated to the special giant Christmas gift at the shopping centre.

Stick ‘n’ Step’s Community Fundraiser, Rhianna McDermott, said,

“We simply couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw the stack of gifts that had been donated by local people in Wallasey. This year especially, when so many people are facing hard times, we were touched beyond belief by everyone’s generosity. The children will be so excited to open their gifts and we would like to say a great big thank you to Cherry Tree Shopping Centre for organising it all and of course to everyone who so kindly gave a gift.”

The presents were shared out at the Stick ‘n’ Step Christmas party, which was held in Leasowe Castle Hotel on 11th December. The party was sponsored by The Gould Family Charitable Trust and was held for children who attend Stick ‘n’ Step, and their families.
