If you think you have what it takes to become Stick ‘n’ Step’s Strictly dance champion 2025 and you love the idea of taking part in a glitzy and glamorous black tie event, to help raise much-needed funds for our charity, please call Norma on 07711 133 284, or email fundraising@sticknstep.org. No dance experience is necessary!

Famous kayaking events have raised over £6,000 for us this year. The Wirral Kayak Challenge, a gruelling 14 mile trip undertaken in dreadful weather conditions during the summer, and the Kids Kayak Challenge that took place in early autumn, selected us once again as one of their nominated charities.

Last weekend, Mike Dudley, who launched the Wirral Kayak Challenge in 2012, and has raised over £80,000 for local charities since then, hosted a special presentation night to celebrate this year’s fundraising achievements. Since Mike opted to support us in 2022, he has shown unwavering support ever since and we are enormously appreciative of his and all the kayakers’ efforts.

Netty Doyle, our Regional Fundraiser & Family Liaison Officer, says,

The biggest thank you goes to Mike, Helen, Sheree & Julie, without whom this event would just not be possible.  The hard work and dedication that goes into this event all year long doesn’t go unnoticed and we can’t thank them enough for their unwavering support.

Stick ‘n’ Step receives no government funding, we rely greatly on supporters signing up to events like the Wirral Kayak Challenge. Without the bravery and courage of supporters like this signing up to these epic challenges and raising sponsorship, we would be unable to continue our vital work providing life changing support to the children and young adults that attend Stick ‘n’ Step.

If you would like to take on a fundraising challenge for us, please head to our events page https://www.sticknstep.org/events/ and see how you can get involved.
